In Port Fairy it rained again overnight with spots of hail this time. Early morning temp was 6ยฐc and was wonderful packing up outside. ๐๐๐
An easy drive to Murray Bridge Show Grounds for a free camp. Heading for Adelaide and to drop in and say hello to my Uncle. ๐๐๐

Drove into town and the foreshore of the Murray River. OMG, we saw a Bunyip. ๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ
Plus a brief drive through the main drag and then back to the show grounds for dinner. ๐๐๐
Hamburgers tonight. Yum!

Day 91 And At Port Augusta.
Port Augusta Motorhome Park, Power Station Rd, Port Augusta SA 5700, Australia
Left Murray Bridge just after 8:00am and into Adelaide to see my uncle. Spent only a few hours there but needed to get going. Wish we had more time. ๐๐๐
Easy drive to Port Augusta.
The Electronic Data Display (EDS) unit added to the car is showing a higher water temperature than previously shown to date. The car temp guage is in the usual place, so without the EDS I would be none the wiser.. Public Holiday in SA tomorrow. Typical!! ๐๐๐
I will be keeping a close eye on it tomorrow.

DAY 92: Tonight's Free Camp.
Penong SA 5690, Australia (31ยฐ52'15.6"S, 132ยฐ53'03.2"E)
The Old Cohen School Free Camp.
Travelled about 100kms more than expected to today. That must mean a sleep in for tomorrow. ๐ด๐ด๐ด๐ด
This site is a large area with plenty of space to choose from. Only 3 caravans here at the moment. It was nice and quiet until we arrived. We can only apologize. ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ
A little windy, not sure about a fire yet.
Yep! wind died down and a great fire. Also had a great light show from a distant thunder storm.
All packed up for the night and just in time as a few rain drops have started. โโโ
And time for bed and listening to the rain drops on the top of the van. Goodnight everyone.

Head Of The Bight.
Info
A bit of a board walk and view of the cliffs. No whales to see. All moved south apparently and according to the visitors centre.
No drones in SA otherwise I would be tempted.

Senic Lookout Number 1.
Info
Well this is worth a look. Arguably better than the 12 Apostles. A little windy today. Could imagine it with no ind and a large swell or just with a large swell.
A bit windy for the drone still! ๐๐๐
Will see when we stop up the road a bit.

Info
Not a spectacular as the Number 1 Lookout, but we did see whales. Another off the bucket list for the trip.

Far Enough For Tonight.
Info
Left our camp casually before 10:00am and travelled at 90kph due to the usual head wind travelling west and that the EDS unit shows a temp spike in top gear up hills. Suspect it is a thermostat issue as the temp drops below 80ยฐc when slowing.
This is called the 52k Peg Camp Area. It is behind a truck parking area and there is another area further on which is right on the cliff. We were tempted to park there but it was a lot windier than the main area. ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ
Another night before the WA Quarrantine stop and gives us some more time to consume food. Thought we would have made it this afternoon.
You have to wonder when buy at Coles or Woolies in one state and then have to hand it in at the WA border to only buy the same stuff from Coles or Woolies when back in WA. Strawberries bought in the east that come from WA are not allowed back in to WA. ๐๐๐๐ Go figure!

Windy Ol Night.
Info
No drone take off this morning. Still windy. Blew like a demon last night. A bit of rain this morning and some nice dark cloud heading from the west.
Head winds again.
Off to WA Quarrantine, but breakfast before immigration.

Another lookout. Not as good as the previous. A quick drive buy and shoot a photo or two. Still no go for the drone.

Another Lookout.
Location
13k Peg Scenic Lookout, Nullarbor SA 5690, Australia
Info
This one was better than the last, but only ok.
A woman travelling alone in a caravan was having an issue with the centre diff lock on her 200 series.
We weren't much help as we couldn't get the light to deluminate. I think the go is the engage the centre diff lock and drive in a figure 8 until the light goes away. Easier said than done with a van attached. ๐๐๐๐
Anyway we moved on and left her to it.
